Quality food buyers flock to Scotland's Speciality Food Show

Attendance figures were up by 13% at Scotland’s Speciality Food Show, which was held last week at the SECC in Glasgow. According to the organisers this demonstrates that quality food retailing is doing well in Scotland with many delicatessens, farm shops, restaurateurs and hotels all keen to source new products and stock up on existing ones.

At the close of Scotland’s largest trade gift fair, it seems that independent retailing in Scotland is doing well despite the lingering recession. Attendance at the three day event at the SECC in Glasgow was up 9% with many new retailers and buyers from Scotland and abroad.

Best Product Awards launched

New Best Product Awards are to be introduced at Scotland’s Trade Fair at the SECC from 24-26 Jan 2010. All exhibitors will be encouraged to enter a product from one of the four categories – home and giftware; textiles; jewellery and fashion accessories; and the Launch Gallery.
