To be judged by Heather McLeod, a leading Scottish interiors journalist and Wendy Ross of The Old Mill Gift Shop and Ruby Red gift shops in Glasgow, the awards will reflect the best products on offer at the show. Each winner will receive two metres of free stand for the 2011 Show, plus a certificate to be displayed on their stand. Both winners and runners up will be able to use the specially-designed logo in all their marketing material. The awards will soon be recognised industry-wide by retailers as a mark of achievement and will be an excellent marketing tool for the winners. The awards will officially be presented at a drinks reception at the Glasgow’s Chamber of Commerce on the evening of Mon 25 Jan.
Mark Saunders of Springboard Events who are organising the Show said: “These awards will recognise the most innovative products in the Show and so reward those exhibitors who have products that are well designed, produced and marketed.”
All exhibitors will be invited to enter a product for the awards on the setup day and then the awards will be judged at 9.30am on the opening day. The winners and runners-ups products will be displayed in secure glass cases in a prominent position in the Show.
